Georgia Cancer Foundation is a charity that is near and dear to the hearts of Radiant employees. Each year, Radiant’s Sprint for Cancer race in Atlanta benefits this amazing organization, and we were able to donate more than $100,000 this past April.
Pedal with a Purpose is a bike race held on July 25 that also benefits Georgia Cancer Foundation, and many Radiant employees are also involved in this event. Kiva Lader, a software developer in Radiant’s petroleum and convenience retail division since 2003, decided that since it had been almost two years since he last cut his hair, he would let his colleagues bid on what type of haircut he should receive. For $1/vote, employees could select from:
*Mohawk
*High & Tight
*Mullet
*Rat Tail
One week and $1,100 later, Kiva received a Mohawk in front of many of his colleagues and family on Friday, June 4. Radiant employees always pull together to aid in the success of events like this. Even though Kiva may be noticing a few stares from his new ‘do, it was all for a great cause and a result of the support he received from Radiant.
Below are Kiva’s before and after photos as well as a link to a video of the whole event.
